Removal of Ethoxylated Alkylpehol (NPEG) with TiO2/ Au Catalysts: Kinetic and Initial Transformation Path

Abstract: Gold nanoparticles, were deposited in titanium oxide (TiO2) Degussa-P25 with the Photodeposition method in the presence of UV light at different concentrations. It was determined by diffuse reflectance (DF), Scanning electron microscopy (SEM), that the Photodeposition method is effective for the inclusion of gold particles on the surface. The catalyst band gap showed a reduction to 2.9 e.V, as well as it was observed that the gold-doped catalyst shows absorption in the visible light range around 500 to 600 nm.… Show more
