“…The RAOC shows excellent performance for removing trace organic contaminants from actual wastewater and greatly mitigates the inhibitory effects of coexisting substances in addition to light attenuation as the photocatalysis is performed in an extremely thin water film [40,41]. We have found that water temperature and UV intensity are key factors for controlling the performance of RAOC treatment [41,42], and this technology is expected to be cost-effective and energy-saving for treatment of organic contaminants in reverse osmosis concentrate from water reuse [43,44].
