Renal vein thrombosis after COVID‐19: A case report

Abstract: Severe cases of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID‐19), caused by severe acute respiratory syndrome‐Coronavirus‐2, can lead to pneumonia or acute respiratory distress syndrome. Non‐respiratory manifestations of COVID‐19 include venous and arterial thrombosis. The disease can affect all organs and even the kidneys and lead to renal vein thrombosis where renal veins or their branches become thrombotic leading to symptoms such as flank pain, hematuria, or acute kidney damage.
