“…In the present case of ROW, although most of the telangiectasias were eradicated successfully, teleangiectasias cauterized without carbonization re‐emerged 3 months later. Kitamura et al 14 . also reported that endoscopic ultrasound allowed the visualization of the feeding vessels of telangiectasia in ROW between the submucosa and muscularis propria.…”

“…There are a few reports of hemorrhagic telangiectasia in ROW being treated by APC; 7,13 , 14 Kitamura et al . reported that one of the advantages of APC for the treatment of ROW is that, compared with other modalities, it permits the cauterization of a large area in a short time 14 . From this point of view, we found that the use of the pulsed mode effectively shortened procedural times.…”

“…The situation as well as treatment options were communicated to the patient during the procedure. On the basis of possible recurrence of bleeding after the resection of the affected segment of jejunum,16 the patient rejected surgical resection and was treated with APC using a custom-made probe under DBE. The patient has been free of symptoms for 10 months after the treatment and continues to be monitored regularly.…”

“…APC allows easy control of the depth of coagulation, so it is simpler to obtain shallow tissue coagulation compared with mono‐polar electrocoagulation or laser coagulation 5–8 . APC is also reported to be useful for hemostasis of bleeding ulcers, 9–11 for angiodysplasia 12,13 and radiation enteritis, 14 for mucosal fibrosis therapy of esophageal varices, 15 and for coagulation of Barrett's epithelium 16 and malignant tumors 17,18 . APC allows rapid coagulation of a wide region, so it appears to be more useful than conventional methods for the treatment of extensive lesions with superficial oozing bleeding, such as GAVE.…”
