Renegotiating Orthopraxy in the Presence of the Bani Guru

Abstract: This article examines the intersection between Sikh scripture as text and as 'Living Guru' (Bani Guru) enlivened through the performative practice of Gurbani Kirtan (singing devotional 'Gurbani' hymns enshrined in Sikh scripture).
