Renewable Energy, Trade and Economic Growth on Nitrous Oxide Emission in G-7 Countries Using Panel ARDL Approach

Abstract: This study's objective is to evaluate the influences of numerous variables, including trade openness, renewable energy, and gross domestic product, on nitrous oxide emissions from 1990 to 2022. The Kao and Pedroni result demonstrates that the variables are cointegrated. This study the relationships between renewable energy, GDP, and trade openness on CO2 emission in G-7 nations. Using the Panel ARDL approach, the results show that, in the long run, there is a positive and significant correlation between GDP an… Show more

“…The result supports the idea that advances in incoming GI activities may result in higher levels of green growth, which is the GI-led growth hypothesis. Our study's outcomes are similar with those of contemporary empirical investigations, for example, (Tolliver, Fujii, Keeley, & Managi, 2021), (ur Rahman, 2018;Usman, Rahman, Shafique, Sadiq, & Idrees, 2023), At a 1% level of significance, the results are statistically significant. Next, we employ some crucial control variables, such as RS, GN, GT, and GJ.…”

“…Due to careless consumption, ambitious consumption, competitive expansionism, and social habits, Mother Nature is suffering devastating consequences (Shrinkhal, 2019;Wackernagel & Rees, 1998). The sharp increase in conservation deprivation and associated worries prompt academics to look into the phenomena by taking into account several aspects that might contribute to the deterioration of this sustainable condition Usman, Rahman, Shafique, Sadiq, and Idrees (2023), Hence, several investigations in industrialized, undeveloped, and least developed countries have been carried out. Scholars attempted to evaluate the EKC theory Arslan et al (2023); Kanwal, Khalid, and Alam (2023), which posits an inverted U-shaped nexus connecting ED and other economic activity.…”

“…The study has revealed that GHRM practices provide a positive work atmosphere in the workplace. We suggest that if hotel industry management encourages its employees, they will feel enforced to reciprocate by supporting Pro-environmental behavior and green innovative work behaviors (GIWB), which will lead towards Environmental performance (Bhatti, Saleem, Murtaza, & Haq, 2022;Ilyas, Banaras, Javaid, & Rahman, 2023; S. M. Khan & Saif-ur-Rehman; Ullah, ur Rahman, & Rehman, 2023;Usman, Rahman, Shafique, Sadiq, & Idrees, 2023). Third, the current study adds substantial influence to the current literature by addressing the subject of environmental performance in the services sector, specifically in the hotel industry, which is confronting several issues.…”
