Repeated implantation failure in oocyte donation. What to do to improve the endometrial receptivity?

Abstract: Our findings demonstrate the reversibility of endometrial histological changes, both sonographics as immunological in RIF group under a polyvalent therapeutic; which is capable of modifying the immunology and endometrial histopathology and to obtain live birth.

“…Interestingly, authors found a very high prevalence of CE in their study population (33.7%), in line with findings by other studies on women affected by RIF . Moreover, Kitaya et al observed high rate of cure of CE with antibiotic therapy (92.3% after first treatment and 99.1% following two‐step antibiotic treatment), as well as better IVF outcomes in patients with cured CE in comparison with non‐CE patients (clinical pregnancy rate after three embryo transfer cycles of 45.7% vs 34.1%; P = .032).…”

“…Analyzing the second point, contrasting evidence is available concerning the impact of CE presence and therapy on IVF outcome in women affected by RIF. In particular, while Tersoglio et al reported higher implantation rate in women with cured CE in comparison with women without CE (75.72% vs 59.2%), Johnston‐MacAnanny et al found even opposite results in two comparable groups (implantation rate 11.5% vs 32.7%, respectively, in women with cured CE and women without CE). In addition, if Cicinelli et al found higher clinical pregnancy rate in patients with cured CE in comparison with patients with persistent CE after treatment (first IVF attempt: respectively, 65% and 33%), Yang et al found no difference among patients receiving therapy and those not (29.4% vs 25%).…”

“…A growing body of evidence supports a close relationship between CE and reproductive impairment . Whilst different studies have already demonstrated an association between CE and RIF, the correlations between CE and UI are still uncertain. In a previous study, we found high prevalence of CE in a cohort of patients with UI (40.7%).…”

“…The relationship between CE and infertility has recently emerged as an important clinical challenge. In fact, 2.8–56.8% of infertile women, 14–67.5% of women with RIF, and 9.3–67.6% of women with recurrent pregnancy loss are diagnosed with CE . Considering these high prevalence rates, CE is a condition that must not be ignored during fertility treatment.…”
