“…In urban parks and gardens, the effectiveness of biocontrol treatments, such as entomopathogenic microorganisms like Bacillus thuringiensis (Berliner) (Las Heras, 2019), viruses (Oberemok, Laikova, Shumskykh, & Zaitsev, 2017;Rose, Jehle, & Kleespies, 2013) and nematodes (Goettig & Herz, 2018;SangMyeong, DongWoon, HoYul, & JiWoong, 1997), has been studied. Oviposition deterrent products, such as essential oils (Goettig, Korn, & Herz, 2017) or volatiles released from frass pellets of C. perspectalis Molnar, Toth, & Karpati, 2017), have also been tested, as well as the egg parasitoids of the genus Trichogramma (Goettig & Herz, 2016). Finally, the injection of insecticides into tree trunks (Bras et al, 2017), conventional treatments with systemic products (Bras et al, 2017) and leaf treatments (Fora, Sasu, Posta, & Berar, 2016;Las Heras, 2019;Qian, Xue, Wei, & Chang, 2018) has also been studied.…”
