Abstract

We read with great interest the original article by Choi et al 1 concerning the comparison of vitreoretinal surgery outcomes of three groups; lamellar macular hole (Group 1), lamellar macular hole with lamellar hole-associated epiretinal proliferation (Group 2), and full-thickness macular hole with lamellar hole-associated epiretinal proliferation (Group 3). This is a very comprehensive and enlightening article about lamellar hole-associated epiretinal proliferation, but we would like to make a comment about the article.In Methods and Material section, very high similarity of the figures 2c and 3c, which belongs to different patients, caught our attention. We think of two possible explanations. First, the authors may have mixed up the figures while uploading to the system, or second, there may be an technical error in the proof phase.
