Abstract: Pulmonary thrombotic arteriopathy (PTA) can be an incidental finding in lung resections performed for various indications. Historic studies largely examined PTA in autopsies. Thus, the prevalence in surgical samples, particularly in the modern era of lung cancer screening, is poorly defined.
