Representation of a preference relation on convex metric spaces by a numerical function

Abstract

In this work, we study the interplay of ordered relation and the structure of the convex metric space on which it is defined: First, we show when a convex metric space is isomorphic with a convex subset of some vector space. Second, we obtain conditions for a representation of a preference relation on a convex metric space.
