“…At Point of Rocks, one of these dikes transects Bell Top Formation and merges upward into flows of Uvas Basaltic Andesite, a relationship indicating the dike fed one of the flows and is late Oligocene in age. Esser (2003a) obtained an 40 Ar/ 39 Ar age of 26.8± 0.68 Ma for this dike. The dikes are generally basaltic in composition and range from aphyric to coarsely prophyritic.…”
