“…Three studies [26,30,35] have already been analyzed in the other ''Results'' sub-sessions. Finally, Roy et al in 2010 retrospectively analyzed two-months second-look hysteroscopies in 186 patients with infertility and recurrent abortions who had undergone resectoscopic myomectomy, showing IUA formation in only 2 patients (1.07%) [38]. All patients in this study had received intraand post-operative antibiotic prophylaxis, as well as a course of estradiol valerate (2 mg per day) lasting 30 days.…”

“…Therefore, it is worth exploring whether uterine fibroids affect IVF-ET pregnancy outcomes and whether myomectomy should be carried out before IVF-ET [13]. Submucosal uterine fibroids can significantly decrease the implantation rate and the clinical pregnancy rate [14], and the removal of submucosal uterine fibroids can markedly improve pregnancy outcomes after assisted reproductive technology [15,16]. Subserosal uterine fibroids have few adverse effects on the outcomes of IVF-ET, so their removal is not required before IVF-ET [3,16,17].…”
