The article presents a method of production of foam concrete, which involves two-stage injection of foam. The proposed method involves improving the pore structure of foam concrete, due to a more uniform distribution of pores throughout the volume of the material. Laboratory tests were carried out for two types of samples, represented by the proposed method of foam concrete production by two-stage foam injection with the use of modified additive in comparison with the classical foam concrete. The density of Type 1 samples varies from 410 to 793 kg/m3 (coefficient of variation from 5.12 to 7.31%), while the density of fiberboard samples lies within the range from 539 to 655 kg/m3 (coefficient of variation from 2.66 to 3.14%). The results of greater variation of densities by height in the Type 1 sample relative to the Type 2 sample indicate the influence of the technological process of foam concrete production on the quality of the pore structure of the material. The results of strength evaluation showed a large scatter of Type 1 samples in relation to Type 2 samples. The highest values of CM strengths are logically observed in the lower part of the sample and the lowest in the upper location: 44.04 and 32.33 kg/cm2 (coefficient of variation from 5.15 to 9.54%). For Type 2 samples, the same values are 55.18 and 44.44 kg/cm2, for the lower and upper locations, respectively (coefficient of variation from 2.79 to 5.35%). The results of thermal conductivity measurements of Type 1 samples range from 0.098 to 0.203 W/m0C (coefficient of variation from 4.59 to 11.88%), while the densities of Type 2 samples lie between 128 and 162 W/m0C (coefficient of variation from 3.38 to 3.55%).

The article presents a complex of laboratory studies of the influence of a complex modified additive (CMA), exactly the effect of the variable composition of additive components on the physical and mechanical properties of concrete. This work shows the methodology of making samples, the selection of additive composition at different percentage ratios of components, and the comparative analysis of the obtained results. The work is devoted to solving the problem of increasing the performance characteristics of concrete by adding the composition of CMA. In this work, the authors used the developed CMA including alkali (caustic soda NaOH), post-alcohol bard (alcohol production wastes), and hardening accelerator (gypsum) in different percentages. Studies can identify the impact of additives on the properties of concrete during their production. Thus, the addition of CMA to the composition of heavy concrete can increase the strength at 28 days of hardening by 4.56-39.08% compared to the reference sample. The analysis suggests that CMA provides a reduction of water saturation in concrete by 2-4 times. The obtained concrete with CMA withstood 200 cycles of tests for frost resistance. The experimental data indicate that the studied additive forms the optimal structure reduces water saturation and increases the strength properties of concrete. This makes it possible to expect higher operational properties of heavy concrete -frost resistance, therefore, increasing its durability.

The article presents the results of experimental studies of the properties of quarry sand to assess their suitability for use in the production of foam concrete. The sites of quarry sand extraction in the territory of the Akmola region are analyzed and their physical and mechanical characteristics are characterized. Evaluation of the physical and mechanical characteristics of sand was made for four types of sand. The main evaluation parameters were: particle size distribution, homogeneity, shrinkage, density and moisture content of sands. The results of the study showed that the physical characteristics of sands vary depending on their type, which indicates the differences in the natural composition and properties of these materials. Evaluation of the homogeneity of the different types of sands confirms the significant differences between the types. The highest homogeneity (xmax=77.45; xmax-1=14.98; Cc=73.5%) was observed in type 1 sand, while type 4 sand shows the minimum degree of homogeneity (xmax=47.30; xmax-1=42.28; Cc=8.7%). According to the test results, the maximum values of both densities in type 2 are: ρd=1.519 g/cm2, ρw=1.951 g/cm2, and the minimum values of both densities in type 4 are: ρd=1.438 g/cm2, ρw=1.894 g/cm2. The maximum natural moisture content in Type 1 samples is vn=9.5%, while the minimum values are 7.6% and 7.2% (Type 2 and 4). The obtained private density values have a high degree of convergence because the coefficients of variation have very low values: for Type 1 sands are 0.1-0.3%; for Type 2 sands are 0.7-0.8%; for Type 3 sands are 0.5-0.7%; for Type 4 sands are 0.4-0.6% (variation of private density values of dry and wet sands, respectively). Analysis of the results of tests on the shrinkage of samples showed that the maximum shrinkage is observed for sands of type 1 equal to 15.63%, while the minimum shrinkage is characteristic of samples of type 3 and 4 (11.25% and 11.88%). Taking into account the suitability of sand for the production of foam concrete, the most preferable is Type 1 sand mined in the Eltok building sand deposit.
