Research of the possibility of using synrm for traction electric drive of a trolleybus

Abstract

The article presents the results of an analysis of the requirements for a traction electric drive of a trolley bus, an analysis of the possibility of using synchronous jet engines in such a drive, a study of the improvement of the characteristics of such engines by changing their active part, test results of a full-scale experimental model of the engine, identification of the requirements for a frequency converter for powering such an engine in the trolleybus drive.
