Research on Digital Restoration of Plain Unlined Silk Gauze Gown of Mawangdui Han Dynasty Tomb Based on AHP and Human–Computer Interaction Technology

Abstract: In 1972, the Plain Unlined Silk Gauze Gown unearthed from the Mawangdui Han Dynasty tomb in Changsha, Hunan Province, China, received attention from various fields such as archeology, cultural relics conservation, textile and costume because of its light texture and exquisite craftsmanship. However, due to it being unearthed decades ago and imperfect preservation measures being used, it has been increasingly damaged by the influence of the external environment. Therefore, there is an urgent need to carry out a… Show more

“…Moreover, the washing work of textile relics is also extremely important to the reinforcement, restoration and other follow‐up protection work of textile relics (Perrier & Calle Morales, 2018; Seon et al, 2017). However, the present work mainly focused on the texture, pattern modeling, weaving technology, identification and restoration, reinforcement material's development, storage environment analysis and aging simulation test of textile relics, and so forth, there were few researches on the washing work of textile relics (Liu, Zhao, & Zhu, 2022; Sowada et al, 2021; Zhang et al, 2017). At present, there were a few scholars carrying out experimental research on the washing and storage of textile relics, and briefly expounded the main factors affecting washing effect of the washing and storage (Ahmed & Ziddan, 2011; Cakmakci et al, 2022; Dilillo et al, 2015).…”

“…There is no high-quality literature on the research of integrating artificial intelligence, virtual reality and other technologies into the digital protection and innovative design of Qin costume. There have been relevant studies on the restoration and protection of costume by using pattern-based 3D modeling and human-computer interaction technologies [9][10][11], and some progress has been made. 3D innovative design based on costume elements is a new research field.…”

“…The digitization of ancient costume usually relies on three-dimensional (3D) modeling technology to accurately restore costume color, structure, fabric, and size. At present, 3D virtual fitting technology has gradually matured and is widely used in the fields of pattern development [14], clothing comfort evaluation [15], interactive design [16][17][18], and costume archaeology and restoration [19][20][21][22]. In recent years, some achievements have been made in the restoration of historical costumes.…”
