Objective: The objective of this article is to investigate the use of e-governance as a means to enhance citizens' livelihoods through effective service delivery. Theoretical Framework: E-governance aims to provide transparent, efficient, and coherent services to the public. The article explores how this concept can be leveraged to improve the lives of citizens. Method: Secondary data analysis was conducted, drawing from various sources including articles, document analysis, and government documents. The analysis was based on secondary sources related to the aim of the article. Research Implications: The study revealed challenges faced by many nation-states, particularly developing nations, in introducing and implementing e-governance. It provides insights into best practices for countries aiming to adopt e-governance, offering case studies as examples for decision-making processes in e-governance initiatives. Originality/Value: This article contributes to the understanding of e-governance and its potential to enhance citizen livelihoods. By synthesizing secondary data and offering best practice case studies, it provides valuable guidance for countries seeking to implement effective e-governance strategies.

Purpose This study aims to examine the factors that influence the adoption of public services through the latest smart apps designed to provide maximum services within urban local government. Design/methodology/approach The research is based on a thorough literature review, expert advice on public service delivery and four complementary theories. An empirical survey used a structured questionnaire to collect primary data from citizens in Indian local governments. The data was analysed using structural equation modelling (SEM) and SmartPLS version 4 to assess the measurement and structural models. Findings The study confirmed that service quality, trust, effort expectancy and social influence are key factors for adopting smart app services. Trust and intention are mediators, while performance expectations do not impact the decision to use smart app services. Research limitations/implications The study includes a moderate sample size and a focus on a single developing country, which restricts its cross-cultural applicability. This research investigated the factors influencing individual adoption and use of local government services delivered through smart apps. Practical implications The study has significant implications for policymakers, researchers and implementers. It provides insights for developing strategies to increase the use of smart services, thereby enhancing local governance's efficiency, transparency and accountability. Originality/value This study enhances existing knowledge by adding service quality, trust and adoption to the model, which helps examine the factors affecting adoption. With limited research on local smart service app adoption, this study provides valuable insights.

Evaluation method of e-government audit information based on big data analysis

In order to improve the problems of low efficiency of intelligent auditing and long approval cycles in the evaluation of e-government audit information, this paper proposes a model for the evaluation of e-government audit information. The model covers the acquisition of audit information, evaluation rules, and e-government auditing. The intuitionistic fuzzy roughness model is applied to determine the distinguishing relationship between objects based on the intuitionistic fuzzy values of different objects and to determine the evaluation rules for audit information. An e-government auditing approach based on big data analysis is also proposed, and a genetic algorithm is used to optimize the relevant parameters of a convolutional neural network to enhance the stability of the e-government auditing model. Audit information evaluation activities are carried out at Changchun Housing Provident Fund Center in Jilin Province, China, whose shared approval information data failure records in 2023 accounted for as high as 70.54% of all documents, with low stability. The number of cases and closure of the provident fund center accepting the extranet from 2017 to 2023 only accounted for 4.57% and 3.99% of the whole. In the audit information evaluation indicators, nine secondary indicators, such as credit management and indirect income, have an evaluation value of more than 0.5 in the “medium” evaluation level, and many indicators have an evaluation value of more than 0 in the “poor” evaluation level, so there are many shortcomings in the business.
