The repair and restoration of damaged vehicles in the automotive industry heavily rely on panel beating shops. However, manual spray painting can be labor-intensive, time-consuming, and subject to human error. This paper presents the design of an intelligent spray painting machine for a panel beating shop, aiming to develop an automated system that streamlines the spray painting process. The machine incorporates a paint mixing module that automates the creation of paint mixtures with precise measurements and algorithms, eliminating the need for manual mixing and minimizing paint waste. Additionally, a robotic arm with precise and reliable movements is included, collaborating with a precise control system to achieve flawless finishes. The intelligent spray painting system represents a technological advancement in vehicle painting, offering a reliable, accurate, and efficient alternative to traditional manual painting techniques.
