Research on Spatio-Temporal Characteristics and Obstacle Diagnosis of Ecosystem Security in Huaihe River Economic Belt

Abstract: The security pattern of the ecosystem in Huaihe River Economic Belt plays a vital role in maintaining the healthy and stable structure of the ecosystem and the green development of the ecological environment in the central and eastern regions of China. This study takes Anhui section of Huaihe River Economic Belt as the case studies, and then the Pressure-State-Response (PSR) theory was used to construct the ecosystem security evaluation index system. In addition, cloud matter element as well as resistance diag… Show more

“…According to [40], migration can improve people's standard of living and production quality and effectively reduce the incidence of poverty. In the poverty-alleviation context, relocation is also proven to change livelihood strategies and habits and enhance household livelihoods [20] in both developing and developed countries, represented by China (e.g., the Poverty-Alleviation-Relocation project, PAR) [41] and US (e.g., the Moving to Opportunity project, MTO) [42]. Prior findings also suggest positive effects of relocation on employment and income improvement [21,22].…”

Geographically, Jianghuai Valley mainly includes the areas south of the Huaihe River and north of the Yangtze River [12].…”

“…It is crucial to understand the ranges of ecological security, as He et al (2023) points out in their review of research evaluating the biodiversity of cultivated land. Research on the brittle structure model and set pair theory by Zhu et al (2021) on obstacle diagnosis of ecosystem security adds to our knowledge of food security from several angles, including the social, economic, and ecological ones. Li and Song (2022) reviewed the evolution of food security using bibliometrics, emphasizing the transition from focusing on the total amount of food to the quality and safety of food, as well as the balance between food supply and demand.…”
