Defined as 'the combined forces that keep a person from leaving his or her job' (Yao et al, 2004, p. 159), job embeddedness has been found to positively influence important work-related behaviors such as job performance (Ali et al, 2021), initiative (Teng et al, 2021), work engagement (Ampofo et al, 2021) and innovative behavior (Amankwaa et al, 2021).
