Research on the Influencing Factors about China’s Export of Mechanical and Electrical Products to the Five Lancang-Mekong Countries

Abstract

This paper selects the data that China exports mechanical and electrical products (MEP) to the five Lancang-Mekong countries from 2010 to 2020. It uses the extended trade gravity model to analyze the influencing factors about MEP exported from China to the five Lancang-Mekong countries. The empirical analysis results show that GDP, the degree of openness to foreign trade, geographical distance, legal management, and whether they have a common border significantly affect China's export trade of MEP to the five Lancang-Mekong countries.
