Abstract: The switching mechanism and the thermal process of Gallium Arsenide (GaAs) photoconductive semiconductor switch (PCSS) with opposed-contact is investigated by numerical simulation of the two-dimensional (2D) structure using temperature-dependent physical parameters of the carriers in GaAs.
