Abstract:Fuel cells are highly efficient and green devices for direct chemical-to-electrical energy conversion. However, limited by the slow kinetics of the oxygen reduction reaction (ORR) in cathode, fuel cells require catalysts with noble metal like Pt, thus significantly increasing the cost of the fuel cells. Carbon-supported metal single atom catalysts (C-SACs) have excellent properties such as high atom utilization efficiency and selectivity. In addition, C-SACs show high ORR activity under different pH conditions… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
