“…At the same time, the disinfection supply center should strictly control the standardization of the whole process of the use of sterile articles [ 9 , 10 ]. Studies have shown that the nonstandard management of sterile articles in clinical departments has reached 18.21%, mainly in the four links of receiving, distribution, storage, and use [ 11 , 12 ]. The management of sterile articles in clinical departments ensures patient safety.…”

“…Xn-DBP compounds were newly formed by the chlorination treatment of DOM samples (e.g., new peaks clearly observed in Figures 3 and S9). Although precursor inspection is a useful filter rule for the accurate detection of Xn-DBPs in disinfected waters, it should be noted that precursors for "secondary Xn-DBPs" (formed by the decomposition of precursors via multiple degradation pathways) 28,29 were difficult to validate in the halogenated samples because of their multiple formation mechanisms. It has been reported that the major carbonyl Xn-DBPs contain a ketoacid structure, which is most likely generated from the phenyl ring cleavage of halogenated lignin-derived phenols in SRNOM.…”

“…Applied current density is another important factor influencing CPBs formation because it can change the reaction rates and pathways on electrode surface [25,28]. Increasing attention has been paid to CBPs due to their potential human health risks, such as carcinogenicity or endocrine disruption, and the World Health Organization (WHO) and some countries have established stringent standards for the CBPs residues in drinking water [27,29]. These results demonstrated that CBPs residues were important indicators to evaluate the feasibility of urine treatment by electrolysis.…”

“…When BiO x /TiO 2 or IrO 2 electrodes were used to treat latrine wastewater, chlorinated organics and chlorate were the representative CBPs [25]. Based on the previous research, the influences of electrode material on CBPs formation were expected in connection with their chlorine evolution activity because the CBPs were the reaction by‐products of active chlorine and organic matters in urine [26, 27]. Applied current density is another important factor influencing CPBs formation because it can change the reaction rates and pathways on electrode surface [25, 28].…”
