Abstract:Pt-based alloys are being developed for high-temperature applications with the aim of replacing some of the currently used Ni-based superalloys (NBSAs) and benchmark alloy, PM2000. The Pt-based superalloys have a similar structure to the NBSAs and can potentially be used at higher temperatures and in more aggressive environments because Pt is more chemically inert and has a higher melting point. In this paper, the recent progress in research and development of Pt-based superalloys is overviewed. Firstly, the c… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
