“…In Africa, pest control mainly relies on the use of chemical pesticides but this approach is not sustainable due to the development of resistance (Martin et al 2002;Carletto et al 2010;Houndété et al 2010;Agboyi et al 2016) as well as their impacts on the environment and on human health (Wilson and Tisdell 2001;De Bon et al 2014).
