Abstract

When st 巳ei and concrete composite structures are designed by using the limit state design method based en the reliabnity analysis ， it is required to obtain appropriate resistance factors for members in し he structures， The purpose of Ihis paper is to obtain resistance factors fof匸wo types ofcomposite columns on thε ultimate state ． One ofthe し ypes iss し eei reinforced concrete columns and the ther concrete − filled tubular columns ． Tbe resistanGe factors are deLermined by collsidering probabilistic properues for both nlember streng［ hs and applied IQads including seismic forces ， TherefQre ， the 且 oad factors for 山 e composite columns are also discussed in the paper ．
