Abstract:The standard ΛCDM model leaves a number of issues unaddressed, one of the most important ones being the problem of initial singularity where general relativity breaks down. Solving that problem usually requires modifications of general relativity. However, there appeared the Hořava-Lifshitz (HL) theory of gravity, in which equations governing cosmological evolution include a new term scaling similarly as dark radiation in the usual Friedmann equations, enabling a bounce of the universe instead of initial singu… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
