Resonances, Absorption and Linear Excitation of Cyclotron Harmonic Waves in a Discharge Plasma

Abstract: Standing cyclotron harmonic waves below the second harmonic are observed using the noise radiation of a mercury discharge tube a t 1465 MHz. From the positions of the Buchsbaum-Hasegawa resonances the density profile and the electron temperature are derived, these parameters agree quite well with the behaviour of the collision-free, magnetized plasma column.X onedimensional model applicable to our waveguide geometry is developed taking into account linear excitation of cyclotron harmonic waves by a quasistatio… Show more

“…And for the models reported here, all variables had VIF smaller than 3.3, which indicated a neglectable level of multicollinearity. 8 Table 2 shows the results of the multiple linear regression analysis. Both Model 1 and Model 2 were significantly different from the null hypothesis (F(2,16) = 11.94, P = 0.001 for Model 1; and F(5,13) = 32.98, P = 0.000).…”

“…The value of Cronbach's alpha in ideal conditions should be 0.70 or greater but according to [96] Cronbach's alpha value of 0.60 is also acceptable. Whereas, a value of 0.80 is considered good but a value greater than 0.90 is not considered outstanding as there is a possibility of duplication [97]. The Cronbach's alpha value of each construct was inspected separately for the analysis of reliability.…”
