Purpose. The purpose of the article is system analysis of the state of electric traction networks, as well as methods of complex diagnostics of the contact network from a moving laboratory car to increase the resolution capability of the systems for monitoring the quality of interaction between the contact network and current collectors. Methodology. The problem was solved by theoretical analysis and experimental studies of the current collection parameters, a generalized model of the device for monitoring the wear of the overhead wire and its functional units in order to determine the factors affecting the control error, as well as the development of methods that reduce the specified error. The apparatus of factor analysis, the theory of optoelectronic circuits and methods of statistical information processing were used. Findings. Innovative approaches and qualitatively new diagnostic tools are proposed that allow expanding the functionality of the laboratory cars for testing the contact network for power supply enterprises of electrified railways, industrial and urban electric transport. Hardware and software have been developed to improve the system for measuring the parameters of the overhead wire and other components of the contact network. Originality. The theoretical maximum permissible, from the point of view of the contact network operation, error in monitoring the wear of the overhead wire and other components of the electric traction network has been determined. A method for increasing the resolution capability of a stereo television system and an adaptive lighting system is proposed. It consists in preliminary image transformation and expansion of the dynamic range of image measurement. The ways of introducing a high-speed real-time compression algorithm and using LED backlighting are proposed. Practical value. The quality of the contact network diagnostics in difficult conditions for video surveillance has been improved. A camera with a built-in image compression module without losing its performance is proposed, which allows capturing and transmitting full-frame images to a computing complex for the application of new diagnostic algorithms for contact network components. The modernized video measuring systems for the wear of the overhead wire for monitoring the grounding of the contact network supports are proposed, as well as elements of track facilities located in the visibility zone of specialized cameras, which ensure the operability of the systems at any time of the day at speeds up to 160 km/h. An air curtain subsystem was implemented to protect the cameras.

Given the need to save energy and reduce the cost of passenger transport on urban electric transport, the greatest effect (from 5 to 15%) is achieved through the introduction of comprehensive information technologies based on rational modes of traction of electric rolling stock and traction and external power supply. The criterion for assessing the modes of operation of power supply systems of urban electric transport is the energy consumption of traction substations, which reflects most of the influencing factors, including the inseparable relationship of traction and external power supply systems. An approach to the implementation of energy-saving technologies of traction power supply of urban electric transport is proposed, which uses fuzzy models and methods of representation for analysis and selection of controls. It is proposed to implement the control of the power supply system operation modes and the selection of modes on the basis of a vague description of their states. When forming the rules, the following parameters are set: deviation of the daily number of transported passengers on the i-th interstation zone of the two-track section, for the characterization of which the values of fuzzy values "lag (strong, weak, absent)" and "advance (absent, weak, strong)" deviation of daily active energy losses for the substation zone and with the values "strong, absent, weak"; the difference between the daily energy consumption of the i-th substation zone, for the actual mode of operation of the power supply system and the reference mode of uniform loading of the power supply system. When constructing a control model in the form of fuzzy rules, each fuzzy characteristic is approximated by N fuzzy quantities with triangular membership functions. For the fuzzy characteristic the minimum and maximum values of an interval in which there are its admissible values are set. Approximate quantities have a triangular degree of belonging: the vertex lies in the center, it corresponds to the degree of belonging 1, and the other two vertices - on the sides of it with degrees of belonging 0. The fuzzy conclusion is based on the rule of fuzzy Mamdani implication. The constructed base of fuzzy rules, which replaces the model of modes of the power supply system, can be used as a guide to the energy dispatcher to select control for the next time period, taking into account the conditions of uncertainty. The principles of formation of algorithms and filling of databases and knowledge of expert systems are developed and problems of maintenance of modes of energy saving in systems of traction power supply of city electric transport are solved. The proposed algorithms for creating databases of expert systems can be implemented after the modernization of power supply control systems based on new integrated systems. Expert systems must be included in the software of the automated workplace of the energy dispatcher. Their inclusion is planned after introduction of new microprocessor systems of telemechanics of regional control points.
Maintenance technology is an algorithm for assigning measures to maintain the specified technical condition of TP and CM equipment during their operation. The operable state of TP and CM is achieved by performing tasks: predicting changes in parameters and strength; designation of parameter tolerance limits; determination of parameters and patterns of load changes; development of device failure models; collecting information about the current state of devices and analyzing the causes of failures; development of diagnostic tools and methods; selection and calculation of maintenance technology parameters; organization of maintenance and repair system works. The process of technical maintenance and the time of KD can be optimized. Optimization criteria can be indicators of device readiness or minimization of time and material costs for TP and KM maintenance. The following indicators of the maintenance and repair system have been approved: average and specific duration, labor intensity, cost, availability and technical use coefficients. Given the complex operating conditions of the CM and the fact that it actually has no redundancy, it is necessary to continuously monitor the reliability indicators of the system as a whole and its elements in particular. With the help of these indicators, it is possible to determine the most appropriate technologies, organization, periodicity and volume of preventive and repair work for the maintenance of KM and optimization of these works under the condition of economy. New technologies for the operation of contact networks and the implementation of reliable and economical current removal on urban electric transport are proposed. Considered theoretical and practical issues of maintenance and repair technologies of the contact network by condition. The fundamental criteria of the state of the contact network and the quality of current collection are generalized. Experimental studies of the contact network were carried out and a method of assessing the quality of current removal and the condition of contact suspensions based on the dependence of contact pressure was proposed.
