Resource Selection

Abstract: Field studies designed to compare resource (e.g. food or habitat) use and availability are commonly called resource selection studies. The motivation for conducting selection studies and the factors influencing resource selection are briefly described. Common study designs and statistical methods for assessing resource selection are presented.
