Respiratory maneuvers in echocardiography: a review of clinical applications

Abstract: During echocardiographic examination, respiration induces cyclic physiological changes of intracardiac haemodynamics, causing normal variations of the right and left ventricle Doppler inflows and outflows and physiological variation of extracardiac flows.
