Response of CYP1A Gene expression in fish liver of catfish (Ariopsis felis) from Gulf of Mexico and their relationship with the genetic variability

Abstract: We determined the hepatic Cytochrome P4501A (CYP1A) mRNA and Ethoxyresorufin-O-deethylase (EROD) activities in the fish, Ariopsis felis, from highly polluted to relatively pristine regions in the southwest Gulf of Mexico and their relationship with the genetic polymorphisms of the same fish.
