Response of Soybean (Glycine Max) to The Reduction of Inorganic Fertilizer with Palm Oil Factory Waste Decanter Cake

Abstract: This research was conducted to determine the response of soybean plants when inorganic fertilizers were reduced and replaced with palm oil mill waste decanter cake. This research was conducted at Farmers’ Land in Harapan Makmur Village, Rantau Rasau District, Tanjung Jabung Timur Regency. This study uses a one factor randomized block design, namely decanter cake and inorganic fertilizer (NPK) consisting of 7 levels, namely: 100% NPK fertilizer, Trichoporiza Plus (TP) 5, 10 and 15 ton/ha, TP 15 ton / ha + 50% N… Show more

“…Furthermore, the combination of DC and NPK gives the highest value of peanuts at DC dose of 26 tons ha-1 and NPK 50 percent of the recommended dose [16]. Similar results reported in celery plants showed DC dose 15 tons ha-1 combined with 50 percent of NPK showed the highest soybean yield in Ultisols [17] & [13].…”

“…[14] stated it as a factor shaping adaptability and organ development. Leaf number depends on photosynthate production influenced by nitrogen, impacting assimilated yield [15]. Table 2 below shows the effect of biochar application on flowering time and stover dry weight of several soybean varieties.…”

“…Organic materials commonly used are livestock waste and agricultural-based factory waste. The research on soybean (Duaja, 2019) and research on celery (Duaja, 2019), and Kailan (Duaja et al, 2019). According to (Duaja, 2020), palm oil mill waste decanter cake (DC) could be used as a source of organic matter to substitute for inorganic fertilizers.…”
