Response of thick and thin film λ/2 microstrip rejection filter to leaf moisture

Abstract: [1] Thick and thin film l/2 microstrip L section rejection filters in the X and Ku bands have been used to investigate the effect of leaf moisture on their response. The results reported are in the form of a comparative study of the X and Ku band response of the rejection filters. The investigations are aimed at using the overlay technique for studying the effect of leaf moisture changes on the rejection property of the filter. The leaves investigated were Tradescantia (magenta), Pothas Scandens (green), and A… Show more

“…Attempts have been made by workers to modify the properties of thin film patch antennas using various methods (Brown et al , 1999; Roy, 1998). To the authors knowledge there are no reports on studies on Ag thick film patch antenna except by the authors group (Kulkarni et al , 2008; Ghorpade and Puri, 2007; Puri et al , 2001). The use of overlay technique to tailor the microstrip components have also been reported by the authors group (Vhankhande et al , 2008; Lonkar and Puri, 2007; Surve and Puri, 2007).…”

“…Depending on the polymerization condition, the properties of the PANI changes (Blinova et al , 2006; Murugesan and Subramanian, 2003; Negi and Adhyapak, 2002; Stejskal and Gilbert, 2002). Our lab has been working on both thin and thick film microstrip passive components and its response to various types of in touch dielectric overlay (Ghorpade and Puri, 2007; Kanade and Puri, 2006; Rane and Puri, 1996, 1998, 2001; Surve and Puri, 2007).…”
