“…Since response to pulp sensibility tests are not predictable on follow‐up evaluation of FP due to the thickness of restorative materials in the pulp chamber, the results of this parameter were not subjected to statistical analysis (ESE, 2019). However, the results of the present study somewhat contradicted this assumption, at least partially supporting other studies that have reported a positive response to vitality tests after FP (Aravind et al, 2022; Asgary et al, 2018). Out of the cases evaluated at 12 months, 95% (21/22) and 63% (13/22) of PP and FP groups respectively showed positive response to EPT; however, this number was significantly lower after cold testing.…”

“…Out of the cases evaluated at 12 months, 95% (21/22) and 63% (13/22) of PP and FP groups respectively showed positive response to EPT; however, this number was significantly lower after cold testing. Following pulpotomy procedure, temperature conductivity of the tooth is reduced due to decline in fluid conductivity via dentinal tubules and because of a reduced number of intact odontoblasts (Aravind et al, 2022), which could help to explain the lower response with cold testing. Others have dismissed the value of pulp sensibility test results, suggesting they are not relevant in the judgement of VPT success or failure due to a high chance of getting false negative responses (Zanini et al, 2016).…”

“…The MTA is recommended extensively for vital pulp therapies, protecting scaffolds during regenerative endodontic procedures, apical barriers in teeth with necrotic pulps and open apices, perforation repairs as well as root canal filling and root-end filling during surgical endodontics (Torabinejad et al, 2018;Aravind et al, 2021;Dal-Fabro et al, 2021). The main components of the MTA include tricalcium silicate, tricalcium aluminate, tricalcium oxide and silicate oxide.…”
