El actual avance tecnológico mundial y el crecimiento e las comunicaciones, ha hecho necesario que la información que generan diferentes dispositivos, en especial aquellos que disponen de sensores, esté disponible de forma inmediata para poder dar respuestas y/o soluciones dependiendo de los eventos que pudieran presentarse. El desarrollo de esta área en los últimos años ha provocado la aparición de dispositivos con sensores de tipos y marcas heterogéneas. El presente artículo presenta una propuesta de arquitectura que integra varios servicios web estándares para la recopilación, organización, y almacenamiento de la información proveniente de sensores hidrometeorológicos. Igualmente se propone la aplicación de servicios para el control remoto de los sensores y para la gestión de eventos y generación de alertas. Todos estos servicios web forman parte del estándar Sensor Web Enablement (SWE). Considerando la diversidad en las estaciones y sensores hidrometeorológicos que típicamente se encuentra en una red de monitoreo, se propone en este artículo la aplicación de ontologías para homogenizar e integrar la información proveniente de sensores de diferentes tipos y fabricantes.

Different from the traditional embedded system or the real-time system, Cyber-Physical System (CPS) integrates computation with physical entities, making it easy for people to interact with the world that we live. With the development of CPS, more devices will be integrated into the internet, especially in the field of Environment Monitoring. Thus, the management and remote control of devices cause issues for CPSs. Towards this end, we develop a CPS by proposing a scalable, flexible architecture in Environment monitoring. The environment monitoring system (EMS) consists of three layer: physical sensing layer, data transport layer, data management layer. Generally, sensors and sensor hub which collects sensor data and transfer them to the upper layer make up of physical sensing layer. And the main function for data transport layer is to forward sensor data to the specified destination. The last layer is in the cloud, composed of a data processor and a knowledge base. Data from physical sensing layer can be analyzed due to the strong computation ability of cloud computing. Also, there are abundant restful API (application programming interfaces) are provided by management layer based on users' demand. The proposed architecture provide convenient management with devices since all the information of devices are stored into database in the cloud. Even under the poor condition of network, data produced by sensors can be saved in local storage, making it enough time for user to settle the network problem with no affecting on the environment monitoring.

Abstract XML and XML Schema are used in the geospatial domain for the definition of standards that enhance the interoperability between producers and consumers of spatial data. The size and complexity of these geospatial standards and their associated schemas have been growing with time reaching levels of complexity that make it difficult to build systems based on them in a timely and cost-effective manner. The problem of producing XML processing code based on large schemas has been traditionally solved by using XML data binding generators. Unfortunately, this solution is not always effective when code is generated for resource-constrained devices, such as mobile phones. Large and complex schemas often result in the production of code with a large size and a complicated structure that might not fit the device limitations. In this article we present Instance-based XML data binding, an approach to produce more compact application-specific XML processing code for geospatial applications targeted to mobile devices. The approach tries to reduce the size and complexity of the generated code by using information about how schemas are used by individual applications. Our experimental results suggest a significant simplification of XML Schema sets to the real needs of client applications accompanied by a substantial reduction of size of the generated code.
