Purpose. Determination and substantiation of the hydromechanization technologies parameters and the hydraulic transport operation modes for mining the technogenic deposits formed as a result of the enrichment waste storing in tailing dumps of mining and processing enterprises. Methods. A comprehensive multi-stage analytical approach has been used in a paper when performing research. Initially, in order to substantiate the hydromechanization technologies parameters, the parameters of the pulp-preparation unit have been analytically determined in this paper, which are limited by the value of the upper dam edge, taking into account the types of hydraulic mixture. At the second stage, dependences have been set for calculating the critical velocity of hydraulic transporting the pulps with different concentration (low, mean, and high). The next research stage was to determine the head and rate specification (HRS) of the hydrotransport pipeline and the required capacity of the hydraulic mixture, which will enable substantiating the parameters for the corresponding mining complex in the technogenic deposits development. Findings. A critical pipeline diameter has been set with the prescribed parameters of the mining complex and the adopted pulp preparation system. Dependences have been found for calculating the critical velocity of hydraulic transportation of mean-and highly-concentrated pulps. The head and rate specifications have been determined of the tailing hydrotransport pipeline. Originality. For the first time it has been revealed that the critical diameter value is determined by the product of two termsthe first one takes into account the effect of the mining complex productivity, and the secondthe dependence on the pulp preparation system parameters. This makes possible to control the parameters and modes of hydromechanization technologies when mining technogenic deposits formed as a result of storing the enrichment waste in tailing ponds. Practical implications. The "Recommendations for substantiating the parameters of the processes of accumulating capacity restoring of a pond with the use of hydromechanization devices" and "Methods for calculating the parameters for hydraulic transportation of highly-concentrated hydraulic mixtures", have been developed, which may be useful for design organizations and mining-metallurgical enterprises to provide additional volumes of raw material output and increase the tailing ponds lifetime.

The article contains research materials on the storage of man-made deposits, including phosphogypsum dumps. The consequences of long-term operation of phosphogypsum dumps and their negative impact on the environment have been established. The quantitative content of microelements to the soil within the storage of technogenic phosphogypsum deposit was determined. Graphical dependences of phosphorus, manganese, fluorine, mobile sulfur, zinc, nickel content depending on the depth of sampling and distance from phosphogypsum dumps to settlements and the Goryn River are presented. The directions of processing and utilization of the given waste are offered. The elemental composition of phosphogypsum dumps of PJSC "Rivneazot" has been established, in particular, the presence of a group of valuable rare earth elements.

Purpose is to substantiate the parameters and factors in terms of which amber can be mined efficiently from sand deposits using hydromechanical method. Methods. Laboratory studies and full-scale experiments of amber-bearing sand with 2-50 mm fractions were carried out to substantiate velocity of amber buoying up to the sludge surface. Amber from Klessiv and Volodymyrets deposits were involved. Computer research relied upon Curve Fitting of the software environment Matlab. Analysis of amber particles, buoying up to the surface, relied upon a theory of particle motion within the sand formation, characterizing by motion with resistance of a dry friction type. Methods of mathematical statistics were applied; then dependences were plotted describing the effect of mining parameters on the amber buoying up velocity. Findings. The basic parameters of hydromechanical method and parameters, effecting buoying up velocity, and dependence of dimensions as well as weight of the amber fractions have been identified. Dependences of the dominant factor effect on the process of amber buoying up to the surface of sludge-like rock mass have been determined to improve the efficiency of amber mining.Originality. Maximum period of the analyzed amber fractions, differing in their diameters, is not longer than 4 minutes.The results of the experimental data as well as computer-based experimental data have helped define that 3 rd order polynom with corresponding rational coefficients for various amber fractions, occurring in the sand amber-bearing deposits, is the most adequate to describe the research. It has also been defined that velocity of amber buoying up from amber-bearing sand medium depends upon effect on the process of the dominant factors; and geometry of amber fractions and their weight making it possible to apply a hydromechanical mining method. Practical implications. The obtained regularities of hydromechanical mining of sand amber deposits help calculate and select facilities for hydromechanical mining of amber.
