Resurgence of leprosy in post elimination era

Abstract: <p class="abstract"><strong>Background:</strong> Leprosy is a slowly progressive mildly infectious disease caused by <em>Mycobacterium leprae</em> primarily affecting skin and peripheral nerves. After introduction of multidrug therapy in the country recorded leprosy case load has come down.
