We present a rare clinical case of combined distal hypospadias and bladder diverticula in a one-year-old boy,
who presented to our clinic with complaints of penile deformation and leukocyturia based on urine tests. On
examination, a ventral deformation of the penis was observed, with the meatal orifice located in the coronal
sulcus. The patient was scheduled for urethroplasty using the Snodgrass technique, but during the operation,
form of hypospadias was identified as distal penile, the urethral deficit was about 2 cm. Urethroplasty was
performed using the Hodgson II technique. In the postoperative period, leukocyturia persisted in the child’s
urine tests. An ultrasound examination of the bladder revealed a large diverticulum of the bladder, 29x12x19 mm.
During miction cystography, a diverticulum-like protrusion, measuring 63x51x46 mm, was revealed alternately
contracting with the bladder. The child underwent laparoscopic diverticulectomy under cystoscopic control.
Following up on the case in a dynamic manner after one year has passed, no complaints have been reported, the
urine tests have shown no abnormalities, and no additional structures in the projection of the urinary bladder are
not determined during a follow-up ultrasound examination.
