The influence of different parameters e.g. contact time, pH, sorbent doze and competing ions that control the retention profile of mercury (II) from aqueous solution, onto some selected local soil solid sorbents collected from Saudi Arabia, as solid scavenger of heavy metals released from environment, was critically investigated.
