Rethinking ‘Affordance’, ‘Agency’ and ‘User’ from a Semiotic Technologies Perspective: The Emergence of a Typology of Signs-as-Agents

Abstract: This chapter shows how educationalists might (re)conceptualise digital tool use within teaching and learning scenarios as a social practice.
