“…However, after one month of treatment, both groups showed significant increase of hemoglobin with significant increase in lactoferrin group. This agreed with the study of Rezk et al [11] that stated that mean increase of hemoglobin level was by (2.26 ±.51 g/dl) in patients with IDA who received Lf for 8 weeks on a dose of 250 mg once daily. Another study by Paesano et al [9] revealed that mean increase of hemoglobin level was (1.7 ± 0.9 g/dl) in patients with IDA who received Lf for 30 days on a dose of 100 mg twice daily.…”

“…Mean TIBC before treatment was 3.9 and after one month, it decreases to 3.1 in Lf group compared to, 3.8 before and 3.2 after treatment in elemental iron group. This agreed with the study of Rezk et al [11] that stated that of TIBC levels decreased in cases with IDA who received Lf for 8 weeks on a dose of 250 mg once daily.…”

“…In particular, lactoferrin is a safer alternative for adult women, including pregnant women who are contraindicated for teratogenic acne medications. Several studies have shown lactoferrin to be safe for pregnant women in different gestational stages . Thus, further studies in these specific patient populations are warranted.…”

“…This study confirmed that the feasibility of LF in the treatment of the inflammatory response to acne, but further studies are needed to determine the adverse effects and the optimal therapeutic dose. Especially, compared to teratogenic acne medication, lactoferrin is safe for adult women, including pregnant women, several studies 16 17 have shown that lactoferrin on different stages of pregnancy is safe, therefore, it is necessary to further research the pregnancy patients with moderately severe acne patients, as well having the desire to cure. Moreover, our study has limitation is that if we had checked gene expression profile through more advanced methods, such as, RNA sequencing method, we could achieve more accurate results, so we hope more researchers to plan for the great projects for achieving high throughput findings.…”
