“…Vinyl-containing silane is a coupling agent which improves the performances of polymer materials, including the weather resistance, mar resistance, and stain resistance, [16][17][18] or enhances the miscibility of non-mixable phases. 12 VTES is the one of the so called "non-functionalized" silanes, which are shown to be good crosslinkers, improving polymerization and stability of the silane film, 19 probably due to the vinyl-group.
