Retrieval of a Cook Celect inferior vena cava (IVC) filter after prolonged dwell time of 5,117 days: Factors to consider for retrieval of long‐dwell IVC filters

Abstract: Inferior vena cava (IVC) filters are used in certain patients to help prevent the occurrence of pulmonary embolism (PE). IVC filters are generally recommended to be removed once PE prophylaxis is no longer required.
