Revealing New Physics in $B^0_s\to D_s^\mp K^\pm$ Decays

Abstract: The B 0 s → D ∓ s K ± system allows a determination of the Unitarity Triangle angle γ. Intrigued by an LHCb analysis showing a surprisingly large result in tension with other γ measurements, we point out that also the rates of the individual B 0 s → D ∓ s K ± channels show puzzling patterns, in accordance with similar decays. We present a formalism to include New-Physics effects and apply it to the data. Interestingly, new contributions of moderate size could accommodate the data. Utilising this formalism in t… Show more

“…where the NP phase shifts can be expressed in terms of ρ, δ, φ and their CP conjugates as discussed in detail in Refs. [21,22]. Using the experimental information encoded in the branching ratios and CP asymmetries, the constraints on the NP parameters shown in Fig.…”

“…In the future, it will be interesting to measure CP violation with much higher precision, in particular the 0 → 0 mixing-induced CP asymmetry and hopefully to clarify the situation. Another surprising situation arises in the 0 → ∓ ± system [17,18]. These are pure tree decays and theoretically clean, making them key players in the testing of the SM.…”
