Reversal of protein-losing enteropathy following surgical revision of a jejunal Roux-en-Y loop after liver transplantation: Look for lymphangiectasia!

Abstract: transplantation. This case underlines the findings of Holvast et al, suggesting that PLE following liver transplantation should prompt a workup for localized lymphangiectasia, which may be caused by intermittent hepatobiliary limb torsion or mesosclerosis. In these patients, early surgical revision might prevent diagnostic delay and subsequent patient morbidity.
