Abstract:A new method for studying nucleus excitation by means of reverse conversion is proposed. This method can be applied on the storage rings of accelerators and is based on data accumulated in studies of dielectronic recombination. A cascade of 2-3 conversion transitions produces a unique facsimile of the pro cess. Reverse conversion cross sections are calculated for beams of few electron 161 Dy ions (e.g., H , He , Li , and Be like).
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
