Abstract:Perylene‐terminated star elastomers (PSE) containing the diblock copolymers of polystyrene (PS) and polyisoprene (PI) segments were designed and synthesized by anionic polymerization. The PSE exhibits good fluorescence performances in solution, self‐assembled aggregates, and solid state. Different supramolecular self‐assemblies in tetrahydrofuran (THF) solution based on the π−π stacking of perylene and interactions in PS can be observed from nanofibers to twisted multi‐nanoropes. Moreover, the twisted nanorope… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
