Abstract:Microbial corrosion (MIC) is widely present in the petroleum industry, including oil extraction, transportation, and processing. This type of corrosion not only causes structural damage to metal materials, but also leads to corrosion and damage to equipment such as oil and gas pipelines, storage tanks, and drill rods, shortening the service life of equipment.
